Unique gastronomy experience in Riga

Located on the industrial Jelgavas street in Riga, which is lined with factories and storage facilities, Max Cekot Kitchen is the first restaurant that serves only a tasting menu and successfully works three evenings a week. It’s the kind of place you could not see from the street or find on a classic city map. Max Cekot Kitchen is a discovery for gastronomic enthusiasts and people searching for new experiences and impressions in Riga.

Chef Max Cekot took a big risk in 2018 by choosing to open his restaurant in the industrial part of the city and serve only a tasting menu. We were the first people who weren’t scared of the new concept and a place where we should host the guests. Max Cekot Kitchen is an excellent dining restaurant where we serve the 10-course tasting menu with wine or nonalcoholic beverage pairings.

Max Cekot Kitchen—which sits in the space that was formerly the wood factory—has been transformed by architect Nikita Suyetin (www.nikitasuyetin.com) and the Chef himself into a high-class restaurant. The ceilings are covered in naturally-colored boards, the age-old spiral staircase is renovated and cleaned from old paint, and even trees from the forest are placed in the dining room.

Experiencing the Max Cekot Kitchen will be a memorable and surprising adventure during your stay in Riga.
